Privacy Policy for SA1 Register
Last updated: October 2026
App package: com.sa1register.app
SA1 Register ("we", "our", "the app") is developed and maintained by Sawan Bhankhar. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Data stored on your device
Your records, including Attendance Register, Stock Register, Cash Book, Day Book/Register and Notes entries, are stored locally on your device in an SQLite database. We do not collect these records on our own servers, and we cannot see them.
2. Optional Google sign-in and Google Drive backup
The app offers an optional backup and restore feature. It works only if you choose to use it.
- When you sign in with Google, the app receives your Google account email address and basic profile information (such as your name), which is used only to identify the account for the backup.
- When you back up, a copy of your app database file is saved to your own Google Drive. When you restore, the app downloads that file from your Drive back to your device.
- The app accesses only the backup file that it creates. It does not read, change or delete your other Drive files.
- We do not receive, store or have access to your backup file or your Google account data on our servers. They remain between your device and your own Google account.
- We do not sell this data, do not share it with third parties, and do not use it for advertising.
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs by SA1 Register adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Information we do not collect
Through the app's core features, we do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or any personal identification information. The app does not require you to create an account to use its main features.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
This app shows ads using Google AdMob. AdMob and Google may collect and use certain information automatically, such as your device's Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data, to deliver ads, limit repeated ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. This is governed by Google's policies:
Your choices:
- You can reset your Advertising ID or turn off ads personalization in your Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, the exact path can differ by device).
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region where it is required, the app shows a Google consent form before ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy options in the app's About page, when it is shown.
The app also uses the internet and network state permissions so that ads can be loaded and your optional Drive backup can work.
5. Permissions
The app may request permissions that are needed for its features, such as saving or sharing generated PDF reports, internet access (for ads and Google sign-in/backup), and the advertising ID used by Google AdMob. These permissions are not used to collect your personal data for any other purpose.
6. Third-party services
| Service | Used for |
|---|---|
| Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads | Showing ads and measuring ad performance |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Showing the ad consent form where required |
| Google Sign-In and Google Drive API | Optional backup and restore to your own Drive |
7. Data retention and deletion
- Data on your device: stays until you delete entries, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes the local database.
- Drive backup: stays in your Google Drive until you remove it. To delete it, open your Google Drive settings > Manage apps, and delete the hidden app data for SA1 Register, or delete the backup file if it is visible. You can also remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Ads data: is handled by Google. See section 4 for your controls.
Since we do not hold your personal data on our own servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you still want to ask about your data, contact us using the email below.
8. Children's privacy
SA1 Register is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will help resolve it.
9. Data security
Your records are stored on your device, so their security depends on your device's own protection. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device software up to date. Your optional backup is protected by your Google account's security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
